Expanding Electric Vehicle Charging Stations in the County of Brant
The County of Brant, in partnership with Brant Municipal Enterprises, now has 10 electric charging stations with 20 charging ports located throughout the County.
The newest chargers were recently installed in the municipal parking lot in front of the County of Brant’s Council Chambers (7 Broadway Street West, Paris).
In addition, the following County-owned properties offer charging stations for electric vehicles:
- Brant Sports Complex, 944 Powerline Rd, Brant
- Burford Community Centre, 14 Potter Dr, Burford
- Cainsville Community Centre, 15 Ewart Ave, Cainsville
- Cowan Community Health Hub, 25 Curtis Ave N, Paris
- Gaukel Memorial Community Centre, 7 Gaukel Dr, St George (available week of October 14, 2025)
- Syl Apps Community Centre, 51 William St, Paris
This expansion boosts public charging access, supports future municipal fleet electrification and advances the County’s sustainability goals.
All charging stations are Level 2 (240V) stations which add 40–70 km of range per hour (vehicle dependent).
With charging stations in Paris, St. George, Burford and Cainsville, and located near major travel routes, locals and visitors have better access, creating a connected network. Many chargers are ideally placed at recreation centres which welcome 600,000 or more annual visits.
