Project Contractor:

  • Oxford Civil Group

Notes:

The scope of work for Phase 2 includes but is not limited to:

  • New watermain from Washington Street to Creeden Street

  • Removal of existing sidewalk on the south side of Main Street from 27 Main Street to Ball Street

  • New concrete curb and gutter on Main Street from Washington Street to Ball Street
  • New dedicated parking area on the north side of Main Street
  • New asphalt

Please refrain from parking on the street within the project limits during each phase. Residents are encouraged to park in their driveways or in the designated parking areas outside the Main Street work zone. If street parking within the project limits is unavoidable, please ensure the vehicle is moved by 7:00 am to allow for work to continue without disruption.

During construction, any privately-owned infrastructure (irrigation: sprinklers, sprinkler heads/hose, etc.), landscaping (gardens, etc.), and decorations in the right of way may be damaged. Residents are responsible to relocate, remove and/or repair anything that is in the right of way during construction. If any of the items listed above are relocated within the right of way and become damaged during construction, it is solely the resident’s responsibly to restore and/or repair. The County is only responsible for repairing driveways and lawns (topsoil and sod).

While your street is closed to through traffic during construction, garbage trucks will not be permitted to enter the project limits. The Contractor will be responsible for collecting your garbage and recycling on the day of pickup. To ensure your garbage and recycling get collected each week, garbage and recycling must be placed curbside by 7:00 am. Mark your bins with your street address so that they can be returned to the correct property by end of day.

During construction, additional notices will be delivered at key milestone events (e.g. water shutdowns, concrete curb placement, sidewalk installation, asphalt paving and sod installation). Please monitor your mailbox throughout construction to stay informed.

Please refer to Municipal511 for the most up-to-date information regarding road construction and closures. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to minimize any inconvenience to our residents.
