New Crossing Guard Location in Paris

Rest Acres Road at Laurie Ann Lane/Hanlon Place

We are pleased to announce the addition of a new crossing guard at the pedestrian crossing on Rest Acres Road at Laurie Ann Lane/Hanlon Place, starting September 3, 2024. This initiative is part of our ongoing efforts to enhance pedestrian safety in our community.

The crossing guard will be on duty every school day from 8:00 am to 9:00 am and again from 2:55 pm to 3:55 pm. These times have been chosen to coincide with peak pedestrian activity, particularly for students walking to and from school. However, please be aware that these hours may be adjusted based on actual crossing usage and feedback from the community.

We encourage everyone to make use of this service and remind drivers to be extra cautious when approaching the crossing area during these times. Together, we can ensure that our community remains a safe and welcoming place for everyone, especially our youngest residents.
