Following the recommendations of the Tutela Heights Slope Stability Class Environmental Assessment, a portion of Tutela Heights Road will be permanently closed on September 16, 2025.
In 2015, the County of Brant initiated an Environmental Assessment to review the slope stability along a section of Tutela Heights Road. The slope area has a history of deteriorating slopes and geotechnical investigations have indicated that the slope is not in a stable condition to support the road.
The County of Brant and City of Brantford will be constructing dead-end turn around bulbs at specific points along Tutela Heights Road, shown in the figure below.
