Public Notice - Redevelopment of 5, 7 and 9 Grand River Street North, Paris
We would like to advise the public of construction that will be taking place at 5, 7 and 9 Grand River Street North in Paris. Northern Rudder Holdings Inc.(Northern Rudder) will be doing extensive renovations at these locations, including commercial units on the main floor and condominium residential units on the second and new third floor. Due to the confined space of this area a traffic control plan and pedestrian control plan have been put in place.
The plans include the temporary removal of several parking spaces on both sides of Grand River Street North, as well as the relocation of the sidewalk for pedestrians. Pedestrian access and two lanes of vehicular traffic are expected to be maintained for the duration of this project.
Barricades and scaffolding are currently being erected at the site and demolition is scheduled to take place September 11 – 15, 2023.
County of Brant staff will monitor this site and work closely with the developer/contractor to ensure that these modifications work effectively and safely with as little impact to the travelling public as possible.
It is anticipated that the re-development should take 12 – 15 months to complete and be finalized in fall/early winter 2024.
