Road Closures and Parking for St. George Apple Fest

NO PARKING/ NO STOPPING:
No Parking on High Street, King William Street and Victor Boulevard to facilitate passage of EMS vehicles as necessary. (see below)
The following Parking will be temporarily closed for the St. George Apple Fest from 9:00am until 6:00pm on Saturday, September 16 and Sunday, September 17:
- High Street from Main Street South to Beverly Street West
- High Street from Main Street South to Lorimer Street (South side ONLY)
- South Street and Thompson Street from Main Street South to West Street
- West Street from Thompson Street to High Street
- Snowball Street from Beverley Street West to Church Street (East Side ONLY)
- Church Avenue from Main Street North to Snowball Street (North Side ONLY)
- Lillian Street from Church Avenue to Andrew Street (West Side ONLY)
- King William Street from Beverly Street to Victor Boulevard (West Side ONLY)
- Victor Boulevard from King William Street to Main Street South (North side ONLY)
- Beverly Street West from Main Street to College Street
SPECIAL REQUESTS:
The following requests will take place on Saturday September 16 and Sunday September 17 from 9:00am until 9:00pm or earlier when street is cleared up.
- Local Traffic Only on Lorimer Street.
- Truck Traffic going North on St George Road to be diverted around the village at German’s School Road to Brant Road (Hwy. 24) to Hwy. 5. Request that trucks going South on St George Road be diverted at Howell Road to Brant Road (Hwy 24) to German school road.
ROAD CLOSURE:
The following roads will be temporarily closed for the St George Apple Fest:
- Main Street South from Beverley Street to High Street starting on September 15 at 6:00pm until Sunday, September 17 at 9:00pm or earlier when street is cleared up
- Main Street South from High Street to Thompson Street as of Saturday, September 16 at 6:00am until Sunday, September 17 at 9:00pm or earlier when street is cleared up
- High Street from Main Street South to Lorimer Street as of Saturday, September 16 at 6:00am until Sunday, September 17 at 9:00pm or earlier when street is cleared up
- High Street from Main Street South to West Street as of Saturday, September 16 at 6:00am until Sunday, September 17 at 9:00pm or earlier when street is cleared up
PARKING LOT CLOSURE:
The following parking lots will be posted for NO PARKING:
- Sunnyside Parking Lot: From Friday, September 15th at 6pm until Sunday, September 17 at 9:00pm
- Municipal Parking Lot: Saturday, September 16 at 6am until Sunday, September 17 at 9:00pm to coincide with High Street closure
- United Church Parking Lot – a portion of the lot as marked from 9am to 4pm on Saturday, September 16 and Sunday, September 17, to accommodate tour buses.
- 2 Beverly Street Parking Lot: from Friday, September 15 at 6pm until Sunday, September 17 at 9pm to coincide with the Main Street S closure.
- The intersection of Main Street and Beverly Street will remain open at all times.
These conditions are to be in effect until 9:00pm on Sunday, September 17, at which time all streets will be reopened and signs removed.
Please note, the streets may be opened sooner than the scheduled time, as once the streets are washed down, they will be reopened.
PARK USE:
Snowball Park, Waterworks Park, Elliott Soccer Field, the grassy area north of the Bank of Montreal (BMO), the Municipal Parking Lot across from the Post Office, 2 Beverly Street Parking Lot, and the Sunnyside Parking Lot.
Notes:
- No through traffic
- Emergency access only
- Barricades will be in place
