The County of Brant is seeking feedback on proposed changes to the Zoning By-law
The County of Brant is seeking feedback on proposed changes to the Zoning By-law.
Section 34 of the Planning Act allows a municipality to create a Zoning By-Law, like the one in the County of Brant (By-Law 61-16). This by-law helps put the goals of the Official Plan into action. The purpose of making technical and housekeeping changes to the Zoning By-Law is to improve its relevance, fix small issues, and ensure it aligns with the Official Plan and provincial policies. Regular updates maintain a responsive zoning framework that meets the County's evolving needs.
Staff are continually monitoring changes needed for the Zoning By-Law, considering them for future housekeeping projects and the development of a new by-law when the County's new Official Plan is approved. We invite you to participate in the update by sharing your feedback on the proposed changes to the Zoning By-law.
For a complete list of the proposed zoning updates and more information on how you can provide your feedback, please visit www.EngageBrant.ca/ZoningUpdates. Online engagement closes on Friday, February 9, 2024.
