Background:
The 2026 by-election to fill the Ward 5 vacant seat is scheduled for Monday, March 16, 2026. The successful candidate will be sworn into office on March 24, 2026, at the regular meeting of County of Brant Council. This position will serve the remainder of the 2022–2026 term of Council, which concludes following the last meeting of the current Council on October 20, 2026.
