Dog Park
The Simply Grand Dog Park is located at the Green Lane Sports Complex, 8 Green Lane, Paris.
To attend the Simply Grand Dog park you must have a Dog License and an active Dog Park Membership.
This members-only park features a small dog area and a large dog area within the 2-acre fenced park with an emphasis on natural landscape requiring limited maintenance from County of Brant parks staff where stewardship by visitors is encouraged to care for the space.

- Keys will be mailed out once payment is processed and required documents are received (this can take up to 2 weeks)
- Locks are changed on April 1st annually and memberships will need to be renewed each year to receive a new key
Membership Information |
The Simply Grand Dog Park changes the locks annually on April 1. To renew and obtain a 2023 Simply Grand Dog Park Membership please use the following steps:
Visit www.brant.ca/COBConnect and click the Sign in/up button. If you have forgotten your password, please select that option. County of Brant staff do not have access to user password information as per privacy & security regulations. If you are a new user please create your account.
Select the Membership area from the top left and from here scroll to find the Simple Grand Dog Park – 2023 and select the appropriate one based on the number of dogs that will be using the park.
Complete the online registration form (this includes providing your dog license information) and make the membership payment.
Once you have made payment please email community@brant.ca with a copy of proof of vaccinations and proof of current dog license (tag).
Proof of vaccinations are provided by veterinarian receipt or note. Required vaccines: Rabies & DA2PCPV (distemper/hepatitis/parainfluenza/pavovirus).
If dog tag is not current, a valid license must be purchased online. For County of Brant residents it can be renewed at online at https://webforms.brant.ca/Finance/Dog-Tags For non-residents please contact your local municipality for purchase/renewal.
Once proof of vaccinations and proof of current dog license (tag) are received, staff will make arrangements for the key to be mailed or picked up based on the answer you have provided when filling out the membership. Please allow for up to two weeks for keys to be mailed. If you selected “pick up key” you will receive an email once it is ready. The pick-up location for keys is the Brant Sports Complex at 944 Powerline Rd., Paris from 8:30 am to 7:30 pm daily.
Membership submissions will not be processed until up-to-date proof of vaccination and dog license is received by staff.
For those that do not have access to internet or require assistance please come into the Brant Sports Complex or call 519-442-1944 and staff can assist with completion of the form, payment and proof of vaccinations/license. |
General Information
The Dog Park is open year-round from sunrise to sunset. Closures due to inclement weather or maintenance are communicated on the News webpage and the County of Brant social media pages.
The Simply Grand Dog Park is a natural area with certain hazards present including, but not limited to, adverse weather, lighting and ground conditions, trees, branches, rocks, dogs off leash, and uneven terrain and should be used at your own risk within the limitation of your own abilities. The County of Brant assumes no responsibility for any injuries or damages that may occur during the use of this area.
The Small Dog Area is provided for dogs measuring 15 inches and under at the wither (base of the neck) or up to 30 lbs. Small dogs are still welcome in all dog park areas, but please no large dogs in the Small Dog Area.
Dog Park Rules
When visiting the Dog Park, we ask that you abide to the following:
- All dogs entering the Dog Park must hold a valid membership, which requires:
- Vaccinations are up to date rabies and DA2PCPV
- Valid dog licence
- Dogs in the off-leash area must always be accompanied by their owner (guardian) and within view.
- Maximum of 3 dogs can attend with one visitor at a time.
- Dogs over 6 months of age are welcome.
- All children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
- Always leash your dog outside the fenced, off-leash area, including entering and exiting.
- Always keep a collar on your dog with identification information. Use of choke and prong/pinch collars are not allowed.
- Aggressive dogs are not permitted. Dogs must be removed at the first sign of aggression.
- Healthy dogs only. No dogs with communicable diseases, illnesses, or injuries
- No female dogs in heat.
- No food, treats, or glass containers in the off-leash area.
- No dog toys or balls. Regardless of your dog's reaction to toys, other dogs may have issues with guarding behavior which can cause conflict.
- Clean up after your dog. A waste receptacle is provided at the entrance.
- Have your membership card and key tag available during your visit.
Violations
Any violation of the dog park protocols may result in denial of access or revocation of your membership. For customer service related to the dog park or to report any facility problems, contact the County of Brant.
