There are many ways to get involved and keep our beautiful community clean. Join us and celebrate!
Earth Day Tree Planting in St. George - April 20, 2024
Join us for tree planting this Earth Day - we will be planting 475 trees in the park!
- Date: Saturday, April 20, 2024
- Time: 10:00 am-1:00 pm
- Location: Jacob's Woods Park, 41 Hampton Court, St. George
- Please bring gloves, rain wear (if required), closed toe footwear, a shovel, and a reusable water bottle.
Special thanks to our Diamond Sponsor - Brant Waterways Foundation and our partners the St. George Lions Club, the Grand River Conservation Authority and Brant Tree Coalition for their time and efforts!
The St. George Lions Club will be providing a free BBQ lunch and refreshments for all volunteers.
Adopt-A-Road
The Adopt-A-Road program is a public service for volunteers to assist with beautification activities along our roads. Choose a section of road and commit to 3 clean ups per year, between April 15 and November 15. For more information, visit the Adopt-A-Road webpage.
Celebrate with the County of Brant Public Library
There are a number of ways to get involved this Earth Week with the County of Brant Public Library including:
- Join us for a Storybook Walk! Enjoy being active while enjoying nature in a local park.
- Library users can borrow free day passes to Grand River Parks and Ontario Provincial Parks
- Learn about the Seed Library
- Borrow adventure & nature-based gear (hiking, birdwatching, gardening, etc.)
