Every property owner must pay taxes to the municipality. Taxes help cover costs of county and educational services.
The county issues two tax bills each year, but if your property is newly constructed or has been changed, you may receive additional omitted and supplementary bills that can be retroactive for the current year and for the past one or two years.

**The Tax Calculator will be updated in April to reflect 2022 rates**
Paying your Tax Bill
You can use one of several payment options including our Pre-Authorized Payment Plan.
Interim Tax Bills
Your interim tax bill is calculated based on 50% of the estimated 2021 taxes.
Interim bills have two payment instalment due dates. They show any outstanding or credit account balance at the time of billing.
Final Tax Bills
Your final tax bill shows your balance of taxes for the year; minus the interim tax amount you were already billed. It is based on your property's tax rates for the current year.
Final tax bills have two payment instalment due dates.
Supplementary and Omitted Bills
Throughout the year supplementary and omitted bills are issued to people who own properties that are new or that have had physical alterations made. Supplementary bills refer to the current tax year. Omitted bills refer to previous years.
You could receive several bills at different times throughout the year depending on when MPAC sends the county assessment information.
Supplementary and omitted bills may have one or two instalment(s) date shown on the bill. They do not reflect previous account balance information.
