We regulate the operations on roads in the County through the road use bylaw.

The following activities are not allowed on County of Brant roads, without County approval:
- Obstructing, encumbering, injuring or fouling a highway
- Excavating a highway
- Placing, constructing or maintaining any structure on a highway
- Depositing dirt, gravel, snow or ice on a highway
- Removing plants, earth or materials from the highway
- Planting vegetation on a highway (exception: grass on a boulevard)
- Causing public nuisance on a highway (e.g. fire, water, vapour or noise)
- Constructing a gate or door swinging over a highway
- Constructing anything that hangs over a highway
- Conducting any activity that interferes with public travel
- Selling or displaying goods on a highway
- Operating a crane, boom or other equipment above a highway
- Altering a boulevard
- Tracking waste, soil or other materials onto a highway
