New – Cancellation Policy, Effective April 1, 2022:

Users are required to cancel their rides 12 hours or more prior to their scheduled time without penalty.

No shows, cancellations at door and late cancellations will be addressed through a progressive penalty process.

Upon the first offense, the user will receive a documented written or verbal warning;

Upon the second offense, the user will be charged for the ride; and
-
Upon the third offense, the user will be suspended from using the service for a period of two weeks.
It is recognized that unforeseen emergencies do occur. Therefore, the Supervisor of Public Transportation will have discretion to evaluate each instance and respond accordingly.
COVID-19 UpdateBrant Transit continues to operate and will continue to maintain the safety of passengers and drivers.
Brant Transit strives to keep all passengers and drivers as safe as possible during the COVID-19 pandemic. All high contact touch points are disinfected after every passenger and all vehicles are fully disinfected every evening. Hand sanitizer is available in each vehicle for passenger use and vehicles are equipped with safety screens for distancing.

Brant Transit is the County of Brant's public transportation program. Designed as a shared ride service, Brant Transit operates a fleet of vans ready to help residents with their transportation needs.
‘Shared ride service’ means that you will likely be sharing your ride with other riders and there may be multiple stops on the way to your destination. We encourage riders to book at least 24 hours in advance to secure your ride.

An offline program is available for individuals who need a more specialized service, including those with accessibility needs. Those requiring this specialized service are asked to call Brant Transit directly at 519-770-TOGO (8646) and are encouraged to pre-book all rides by 1:00 pm the day before. |

Where can I go with Brant Transit? Brant Transit transports riders:
How can I pay for my rides? Paying is easy. When booking your ride, you can choose to pay by credit card or offline payments (cash or punch card - please note if paying cash exact change is required).
When you select a ride, on the next screen there is ‘Add Special Instructions’. You add your unit number there before you select payment option and book now.
Can my kids ride with me? Yes, when you are booking your ride, book additional seats for children and select passenger type. You can book up to three other passengers travelling with you. Children under 12 must ride with an adult.
No, the vehicles are not equipped with car seats.
What if I need to cancel my ride? New – Brant Transit Cancellation Policy, Effective April 1, 2022:

Be on time. When you book a ride you are given a pick up window. You will be picked up anywhere within that time frame. Arrive at least two minutes before the pick-up time window. Upon arriving, your ride will wait for one minute.
Users book their own rides and need to be ready for pick up at least two minutes before the pick-up window. If you miss your ride, you will be marked as a ‘no-show’ and charged for the amount of the ride you booked.
Yes, to use the service you will need to create an account. You can do this through the app, online or by calling a booking agent to help you get started.
You can schedule your rides up to a month in advance. If you choose to pay with credit card you will be charged at the time of booking.
Look for the Brant Transit logo to identify the correct vehicle.
Yes, Brant Transit will offer accessible transportation options. Please identify the type of mobility device you may be travelling with when booking. You may choose to book an additional seat for your support person at no additional cost.
When people think about public transit, they often think about large buses and fixed routes. At this time, Brant Transit uses a fleet of vans that are individually booked.
Brant Transit is not like Uber because you are booking a shared ride public transportation service. Unlike Uber, Brant Transit drivers are hired employees and they drive the service owned vehicles.
Do I have to be a County of Brant resident to use Brant Transit? Brant Transit is available to County of Brant residents, City of Brantford residents and visitors to the County.

Background and Additional Resources |
The County of Brant Council has approved a new public transportation service for the County of Brant. After a full review, the recommendation came forward to enter into contract with BTS Network to provide the County with the new Brant public transportation program. Brant Transit will continue to be accessible and citizens will be able to be book a ride online, through an app or on the phone.
