Marriage Licence Applications
Since the issuance of marriage licenses requires an in-person meeting and due to limited supplies, marriage licences are currently only being issued for County of Brant residents who plan to get married within the next 2-3 weeks. Please contact the Clerks office to schedule an appointment 519.442.7268.
How to Apply:
- Review the Requirements Respecting Marriage in Ontario issued by the Office of the Registrar General.
- Obtain and complete, with signatures, a Marriage Licence Application form (paper copies available at the Paris Wincey Office buildings).
- Contact the County of Brant Clerk's Division (519-449-2451) to make appointments to have a licence issued.
- At least one applicant must go to the County of Brant Wincey Mills Office, 31 Mechanic St., Suite 207, during office hours.
- Fee for a marriage licence is $120.00, to be paid by cash or debit only.
- Proof of identity/age (original document) is required for both applicants.
- Original/certified divorce certificates must be presented, if applicable.
Marriage licences are valid immediately once issued. You have three months from the date of issue to have the marriage performed. If your licence expires, you must purchase another licence. There are no refunds for issued marriage licences.
