Parking

On April 25, 2023, Council approved amendments to the County of Brant Parking Bylaw to increase on-street parking opportunities. Vehicles in residential zones are now permitted to park on the apron provided they comply with the requirements set out in the Bylaw. Council also approved the reduction for parking at least 2 metres from the entrance to a highway or driveway to 1.5 metres.

Parking on the apron

Vehicles are permitted to park on the 'apron' which is the paved lower boulevard section of a driveway. If parking on the apron, vehicles must be parked parallel to the roadway. Vehicles that are parked beyond the limits of the apron, on the landscaped portion of the boulevard, or hanging over the sidewalk/curb/roadway may be ticketed.
