Bendemere Road, Paris - Site Servicing, Road Construction - November 25, 2024 - June 2025 |
Please be advised that Regional Sewer and Watermain Ltd. will begin grading and servicing activities, of the existing Bendemere Road, on about November 25th, 2024 (weather permitting), for a period of approximately Seven (7) months. We ask that you please use extra caution when travelling on Bendemere Road, as crews will be present. This work is being completed as a component of Stage 1b of the residential Development of Paris Grand Subdivision. The scope of work, for this project, includes the reconstruction and urbanization of Paris Links Road. This includes the construction of a culvert, sewer, watermain, and roadworks (Approximately 400m in length). A plan is attached for your reference. Stage 1 The initial work starting in November will be contained within the limits of the existing paved bypass road across the creek. This will continue over the winter months. Stage 2 Starting in January, installation of sewer and watermains north of Bendemere Road will commence. However, traffic will continue on existing Bendemere Road and the paved bypass road across the creek over the winter months without any road closures. Stage 3 Starting in April, traffic will be diverted to the full length of the bypass road on the north side of Bendemere Road, and installation of sewers and watermains within existing Bendemere Road will commence. Driveway access to existing properties on the south side of Bendemere Road will be maintained at all times. This project is being managed by MTE Consultants Inc. on behalf of Paris Grand Estates Inc., in cooperation with the County of Brant, in support of the development of the Paris Grand Estates Stage 1b Subdivision. Please note, additional notice will be provided in advance of full road closures as necessary. Crews will do their best to maintain traffic access through Bendemere Road, but there may be some minor delays while work is progressing. Crews will be starting at 7:00 AM and typically work until 5:00PM, but are also able to work Saturdays from 7:00AM to 6:00PM, when required. You may experience minor delays and inconveniences during this time and, in this regard, we ask for your cooperation and patience. We also request that when driving, or walking through and around, the construction area you follow and obey the construction traffic signage for your safety and for the safety of the workers.

West River Street, Paris - Reconstruction 2024 - road closures - January - March 31, 2025 - Update |
Location: West River Street between Mechanic Street and Broadway Street West
Work Dates: January - March 31, 2025
Work Performed by: Enbridge Gas
Reason: Gas line construction
Details:
Construction Update November 13, 2024: Sanitary sewer installation is now complete, and watermain replacement has commenced north of William Street. Due to constraints related to the location of the gas main and the risk of gas main breaks, the scope of work on West River Street has been reduced this year. As a result, no remaining sidewalk can be removed, and work between Mechanic Street and William Street cannot proceed this year. Current efforts are focused on areas already disrupted. Once the watermain replacement is complete, several smaller storm sewer replacements will follow, along with interim surface restoration. The road will be paved, sidewalks and driveways will be patched with asphalt for the winter, and yard spaces will be topsoiled and graded for positive drainage. Restoration work and work south of William Street will resume in spring 2025. While the goal was to complete all work in 2024, gas main constraints have shifted final project completion to early summer 2025.
