Onondaga Ball Park Construction begins on Monday, June 15

Construction will begin on the Onondaga Ball Park on Monday, June 15, 2026.

Location:

• Onondaga Ball Park, 21 Brantford St., Onondaga

What is happening:

• The community can look forward to a new sport court, walking paths, a new shade structure, junior playground area addition, more gardens and trees, an accessible parking space and more!

When:

• Construction on the Onondaga Ball Park will begin on Monday, June 15, when the contractor for the project begins to prepare the site.
• Beginning Friday, June 19, the playground at the park will be closed for approximately two weeks.
• Additional temporary closures will be required during construction; however, efforts will be made to keep the playground open as much as possible throughout the project. Updates will be provided as they become available.

Additional information:

• Construction fencing will be added to the perimeter fencing to enclose the park to keep the site secure while park improvements are made.   
• For the safety of visitors, we ask those attending to avoid marked construction areas and use caution while these park improvements are made.
