St. George Road Reconstruction

St. George Road/ Main Street North Road reconstruction will begin on Monday, May 4.

What and where is the construction happening?

• St. George Road/Main Street North from Mansfield Drive/Highgate Drive to 400 metres north of Mansfield Drive/Highgate Drive. Construction will include installation of watermains, sanitary mains, repaving with hot mix asphalt, and a multi use path.

When?

• Monday, May 4, until September 2026

Why?

• Installation of watermains, sanitary mains and a multi use path

Changes during construction period?

• Intersection impacts: Access to Mansfield Drive/Highgate Drive at St. George Road will remain open to traffic
• Road or sidewalk impacts: Road will have alternating lane closures throughout construction
• Detour routes: No detour route required as a lane will be maintained open
• Noise/light: Typical construction schedule of 7:00 am to 7:00 pm
• Parking: no changes
• Access (personal driveways, services or amenities): Access will be accommodated for any applicable driveways
• Garbage: no changes
