Landfill and Transfer Station

The County of Brant is home to the Biggars Lane Landfill and Paris Transfer Station for solid waste and recycling disposal/drop off. Staff are available at transfer and landfill stations to help you find the appropriate areas for your recyclables and waste.

Biggars Lane Landfill

The Biggars Lane Landfill is where you can drop off large loads for disposal or recycling. Large loads (more than a fully loaded pick-up truck) need to be taken to the Biggars Lane Landfill. Large loads are not accepted at the Paris Waste Transfer and Recycling Station.

Paris Waste Transfer and Recycling Station

The Paris Waste Transfer and Recycling Station allows residents to drop off small amounts of solid wastes and recycling items. Large loads are not accepted at the Paris Waste Transfer and Recycling Station.

Fees and Charges

Current rates are available on the fees and charges webpage.

Payments by credit card or debit card are preferred. We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express credit cards. Credit accounts can be set up for industrial, commercial and institutional users.

Sorting

Recyclable and reusable materials must be sorted. Doing so conserves valuable land fill space and generates revenue which directly offsets the cost of operating your waste management facilities.

Users are required to sort the following materials for recycling and reuse:

  • Grass clippings are banned from curbside collection and disposal at the waste management facilities
  • There is no charge for blue box materials at the Waste Management Facility
  • All loads to be tarped to reduce debris on roadside and loads that are not secured may be refused
