Dundas Street E., Paris Road, Oak Park Road Reconstruction Update – April 24, 2026

Work continues on Dundas Street East and Paris Road. This multi year infrastructure project is replacing aging underground services and will improve how the road functions for drivers, pedestrians, businesses, and future employment growth in the area – bringing new jobs close to home.

Stage 1 of construction began on March 23 and was completed March 30. Stage 2 is currently underway and on schedule. The expected completion for this stage is late summer 2026.

Work locations during stage 2 include: Dundas Street East (both eastbound lanes on the south side of the road) and Paris Road

What has been accomplished:

  • CN Rail west side pit installation - complete
  • Dewatering - ongoing
  • Dundas St E asphalt curb and concrete base removals – in-progress
  • Paris Rd sanitary sewer and watermain installation – in-progress

What work is coming up: 

  • CN Rail east side pit installation
  • Dundas St E asphalt curb and concrete base removals continues
  • Paris Rd and Dundas St watermain works
  • Paris Rd sanitary sewer and watermain installation continues

Traffic Impact reminders:

  • Dundas St E – Eastbound and westbound traffic will be reduced to one lane each   Eastbound traffic will be unable to make left turns onto Consolidated D
  • Governors Rd E - Westbound traffic will be reduced to one lane and unable to make left turns onto Paris Rd
  • Green Lane - Southbound traffic will be unimpeded
  • Paris Rd – There will only be southbound traffic. No northbound traffic permitted

Future: Stage 3 is anticipated to begin late summer with completion late fall.

Pedestrian access and access to businesses will be maintained throughout the project. We encourage you to shop and support local.
