The County of Brant currently owns an unopened road allowance on lands commonly identified as Lane Block 44, Plan 2M1968; County of Brant, being PIN 32053-1136, located in the former Township of Paris.
This project is currently on schedule. This multi year infrastructure project is replacing aging underground services and will improve how the road functions for drivers, pedestrians, businesses, and future employment growth in the area.
Beginning on July 1, more than 23 locations across the County of Brant will undergo road milling and paving. This maintenance work involves removing broken and potholed asphalt and replacing it with a new asphalt surface to create smoother, safer roads.

At its meeting on June 23, 2026, County of Brant Council approved a plan to proceed with renovations to The Bawcutt Centre (formerly the Paris Old Town Hall), located at 13 Burwell Street in Paris.
Maintenance construction on the C. George Spencer Bridge (German School Road, St. George) is scheduled to take place from Monday, June 29 to Friday, July 17, 2026, weather dependent.
The St. George Business Association will host their 5th Annual Community Car show on Sunday, June 28. During this time, Main Street in St. George will be closed.
The County of Brant is accepting requests for the 2026–2027 Indoor Turf Season (October 13, 2026 to May 23, 2027). The requests are due by Thursday, June 25.
Please be advised that tonight's Drop-in Zumba program at Syl Apps Community Centre (June 23, 7:00 – 8:00 pm) has been cancelled this evening due to instructor illness.
