Dundas Street East, Paris Road and Oak Park Road – Update May 22, 2026

Great news Brant - this project remains on schedule! This multi-year infrastructure project is replacing aging underground services and will improve how the road functions for drivers, pedestrians, businesses, and future employment growth in the area.

What stage?

  • We are currently in Stage 2 which began on March 30, 2026 and is expected to be completed in late summer 2026. Stage 3 is expected to start late summer and continue to late fall 2026. 

Progress updates

Paris Rd:

What is complete?

  • Gravity sanitary sewer
  • Road base on the southbound lane
  • Final watermain connections in the intersection of Dundas St E and Paris Rd

What is underway?

  • Final watermain connections on the south limits (just beyond the Full Plate)

Dundas St E (Governors Rd E to CN Bridge):

What is complete?

  • Gravity sanitary sewer (2025)
  • Storm sewer (2025, not including the Paris Road intersection)
  • Removal of asphalt and concrete on eastbound lane

What is underway?

  • Watermain is currently being installed from Dundas St E/Paris Rd intersection to the CN Bridge

Governors Rd E

What is complete?

  • Removal of asphalt and concrete on eastbound lane
  • Sanitary services

What is underway?

  • Watermain is currently being installed from Dundas St E/Paris Rd intersection to east limits

CN Bridge Works

What is complete?

  • Watermain bypass

What is underway?

  • Pipe ramming has begun for the casing under the eastbound lanes

Traffic Impacts/Detour Routes:

  • Dundas St E – Eastbound and westbound traffic reduced to one lane each.   Eastbound traffic unable to make left turns onto Consolidated Dr
  • Governors Rd E - Westbound traffic reduced to one lane and unable to make left turns onto Paris Rd
  • Green Lane - Southbound traffic unimpeded
  • Paris Rd – Only be southbound traffic. No northbound traffic permitted
  • Pedestrian access and access to businesses will be maintained throughout the project.
