Notice of Council Meeting – Recommendation for the Downtown Paris Zoning
The County of Brant is considering a zoning by-law amendment for select municipally owned parking lots and nearby lands in Downtown Paris as part of the ongoing Downtown Paris Zoning Project.
At this meeting, Council will consider a recommendation to approve zoning permissions for:
Area A – a future mixed-use development site; and
Area B – a future parking structure and public open space area.

Changes have been made to the proposed zoning since the public information meeting held in May 2026 to address comments and feedback received from the community.
Council will also discuss how these lands are proposed to be regulated under the County's new zoning system, known as the Community Planning Permit System (CPPS). No decisions are being made on a specific development proposal at this time.
Date: Tuesday, July 7, 2026
Time: 4:00 pm
Location: County of Brant Council Chambers (7 Broadway Street West, Paris)
