Ways to stay cool in the County of Brant

A heat warning remains in effect for the County of Brant.

Following yesterday’s storm, we are aware of several power outages throughout Brant.

If you need a break from the heat, you can visit the following locations across the County to cool down, rest, and rehydrate:

  • Paris (66 Grand River Street North) and Burford (26 Park Avenue) Customer Service Office – Open Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm
  • Community Centres – Offering indoor space and a chance to cool off (hours vary)
  • Public Libraries – Welcoming spaces with free Wi-Fi, seating, and activities
  • Splash Pads & the Paris Community Pool – Fun for all ages and a great way to stay refreshed - visit brant.ca/Aquatics
  • Pinehurst Conservation Area – A natural spot to swim and unwind outdoors

Tips to stay safe in the heat:

  • Drink plenty of water
  • Avoid strenuous activity during peak sun hours (11:00 am to 3:00 pm)
  • Wear light, breathable clothing

Check in on family, friends, and neighbours—especially seniors or those living alone.
