Gymnastics

The County of Brant is thrilled to offer several gymnastics programs for a variety of ages through the fall, winter and spring seasons at the Paris District High School.

Fall Session

  • Fall Gymnastics Registration will open on Monday, September 15 at 6:00 pm.
  • Fall Session will run from October 18, 2025 to December 6, 2025

Gymnastic Programs

Families will start off with a short warm-up and move around to each gymnastics equipment area. Parents/caregivers will help assist the children on each apparatus with some guidance from staff. Maximum 3 children. Ages 1-12 years.

Caregivers will lead participants through supervised free play activities. Participants will have the opportunity to run, jump, crawl, slide and explore the gymnastics equipment. Ages 18 months-3 years.

Participants will be introduced to basic gymnastic fundamentals including running, jumping, hopping and swinging. Caregiver participation is encouraged. Ages 3-4 years.

This program is the introductory level to the Rainbow Recreation Gymnastics program. Participants will develop basic gymnastics skills such as somersaults with assistance, walking on the balance beam and hanging on the bars. Ages 4-6 years.

Children develop skills on the vault, bars, beam and floor with experiences and energetic instructors. Gymnastics progress through the Rainbow Gymnastics Program according to their age and abilities and learn more advanced skills as their skill development improves. Ages 5-12 years.

  • Red Level- Level 1 (Beginner) - This program is the first (level to the Rainbow Recreation Gymnastics program. Participants will learn cartwheel progressions, bunny hops on low beam and hanging from the high bar.
  • Orange Level- Level 2 (Beginner) - This program is for those who have passed Red Level or can confidently complete the skills learned in Red Level. Examples of skills learned in this level include: handstands against wall with assistance, turns on low beam and basic dismounts from bars.
  • Yellow Level- Level 3 (Intermediate) - This program is for those who have passed Orange Level or can confidently complete the skills learned in Orange Level. Examples of skills learned in this level include: the bridge, turns on high beam and travel from low bar to high bar with assistance.
  • Green Level- Level 4 (Intermediate) - This program is for those who have passed Yellow Level or can confidently complete the skills learned in Yellow Level. Examples of skills learned in this level include: somersault-cartwheel-roundoff connections, somersault on the low beam and bar routines.
  • Blue Level- Level 5 (Advanced) - This program is for those who have passed Green Level or can confidently complete the skills learned in Green Level. Examples of skills learned in this level include: back walk-over with assistance, handstand on low beam with assistance and roundoff dismount from high beam.
  • Purple Level- Level 6 (Advanced) - This program is for those who have passed Blue Level or can confidently complete the skills learned in Blue Level. Examples of skills learned in this level include: aerial and back handspring progressions, back walk over on low beam and cartwheel on high beam.

We encourage all participants to wear active wear so they can move around comfortably on the equipment.

Our red level is our introductory level where participants will learn gymnastics basics. At the end of each session, participants will receive a report card notifying them of the next level to complete/
