2026 Pavement Markings

Annual pavement marking will begin on Monday, July 20, 2026.

Where is line marking happening?

  • Throughout the County to retrace yellow centre lines and white fog lines on all roads; rural and urban. Stop bars, direction arrows, crosswalks, parking stalls and hatching will also be retraced.
  • All lines throughout the County are retraced on a yearly basis to improve their visibility to road users. Line painting and road markings improve traffic safety and they help to delineate travel lanes, indicate turn lanes, warn of hazards, mark pedestrian crossings and improve road visibility at night and in bad weather condition.

When?

  • Monday, July 20, 2026 through to September 2026

Changes during line painting and marking period?

  • Intersection impacts: Cones will be put out to mark fresh paint at stop bars. Drive accordingly.
  • Road impacts: While yellow and white lines are painted, traffic will be impacted. Follow directions of the follow vehicle.
  • Parking: Will be closed when parking stalls are painted. This closure will be temporary.
  • Access (personal driveways, services or amenities): Will be maintained but delays can be possible while paint dries.

Paint Removal:

  • Should you get paint on your vehicle, wash immediately with hot water and household products. The paint used is a water-based paint.
