Election Voting

You qualify to vote in the County of Brant Municipal election if: 

  • You are at least 18 years old on Election Day
  • You are a Canadian citizen,
  • If you are a resident of the County of Brant 
  • If you rent or own property in the County of Brant and
  • You are not otherwise prohibited by law from voting.

Are you on the list to vote? Check early

  • Check if you are on the voters’ list at registertovoteon.ca
  • Use the Elections Ontario provincial voter lookup tool from now until August 13, 2026
  • After August 14 visit the elections page on our website at brant.ca/election to learn how to register (County of Brant staff will manage voter list updates during this period until election day)

We will also be holding “Register to Vote” pop-up events throughout the County in the coming months - dates and locations coming soon!

Voting

  • Voting will take place over the phone and online. 
  • The County of Brant will also offer an in-person Voter Assistance Locations to assist residents with voting online. 
  • Electors are reminded to bring their Voter Information Letter with them to the Voter Assistance location.
  • If electors do not have internet access, they may visit any County of Brant library or a Customer Service office, where they will have access to a device to cast their online ballot. Visit the Customer Service Locations webpage for a complete listing.
