Canada Day is Wednesday, July 1!
Whether you're attending local celebrations, spending time with family and friends, or enjoying the long weekend, we encourage residents to plan ahead. Please review the information below for important holiday service updates, facility hours, and closures.
County of Brant Customer Service Offices:
- County of Brant Customer Service Offices will be closed on Wednesday, July 1 and will re-open on Thursday, July 2.
- Our website online chat will be unavailable at this time.
- A number of services are available online. Visit www.brant.ca/onlineservices for a complete list.
- For non-emergency assistance after hours (example - a fallen tree on the road) urgent matters, call 519.44BRANT (519.442.7268) or toll-free 1.855.44BRANT and stay on the line to be transferred to the after hours emergency dispatcher.
County of Brant Community Centres and Arenas:
- County of Brant Community Centres are closed on Wednesday, July 1.
- Sports fields remain open. Please contact your league organizer for more information.
County of Brant Fire Administration:
- County of Brant Fire Administration office at 61 Dundas Street E will be closed on Wednesday, July 1.
- Regular hours resume on Thursday, July 2.
County of Brant Public Libraries:
- All County of Brant Library branches will be closed on Wednesday, July 1.
- Regular hours resume Thursday, July 2.

Garbage and Recycling:
- Regular curbside collection will occur on Wednesday, July 1.
- Please place your waste at the curb by 7:00 am.

Landfills:
- Solid Waste Facilities will be closed on Wednesday, July 1.
- Regular hours resume Thursday, July 2.

Public Transit:
- Brant Transit will not operate on Wednesday, July 1.

- Building inspections will not take place on Wednesday, July 1.

Fireworks Reminder:
Please take a moment to review the County of Brant’s Fireworks Bylaw at www.brant.ca/fireworks to ensure you're celebrating safely and responsibly. Family fireworks are only permitted on Canada Day, three days before Canada Day and three days after Canada Day.
