Cardboard Boat Races Return This Sunday!
Get ready to see what floats — and what sinks!
The popular Cardboard Boat Races are returning to the County of Brant this Sunday, August 16 from 12pm to 1pm! Gather your family and friends and come out for a fun afternoon of creativity, competition and plenty of laughs at the Paris Community Pool.
Participants will put their cardboard creations to the test as they race across the pool. Will your boat stay afloat long enough to make it to the finish line? There’s only one way to find out!

Teams of 2 only.

Boats can only be made using cardboard and duct tape.
- Participants should create a paddle to help propel their boat across the pool.
- Boats will be placed in the shallow end to start.
- Both participants will enter the boat and must float for 30 seconds before attempting to paddle across the pool to the shallow end.
- All participants are required to wear life jackets, which will be provided by the Paris Community Pool.
Whether you’re building a boat, racing across the pool or cheering from the sidelines, it’s sure to be a fun-filled afternoon for everyone!
