Construction update - Dundas Street E, Paris Road, Oak Park Road
This project is currently on schedule. This multi year infrastructure project is replacing aging underground services and will improve how the road functions for drivers, pedestrians, businesses, and future employment growth in the area.
Did you know that this project is projected to create 1,500 local jobs as it moves existing businesses off private septic systems and onto municipal wastewater, facilitating easier operations and expansions.
Stage 2 began March 30, 2026, and is expected to be completed in summer 2026. Stage 3 is expected to start in August 2026 and continue to late fall 2026.
Project update:

- Underway: Asphalt removals on the westbound lane and further road base preparation are slated to begin.
- Future: A single day eastbound closure will be necessary as a part of the watermain final connections to allow for service connections to Tim Horton’s and two residences. This will be confirmed with the contractor and communicated to the public.
CN Bridge
- Completed: Watermain bypass and boulder removal are complete.
- Underway: Pipe ramming casings under the eastbound lane are ongoing but slowed by cobbles. A north-side pipe ram for the sanitary sewer will begin in September.
Pedestrian access and access to businesses will be maintained throughout the project. We encourage residents to continue to shop and support local businesses during construction projects. Thank you for your support.
