Construction Update – Overnight Watermain Work at Dundas Street East and Curtis Avenue

Project: Dundas Street East, Paris Road and Oak Park Reconstruction

Where: Dundas Street East and Curtis Avenue, Paris

Residents are advised that overnight construction work is scheduled to take place on Dundas Street East at the Curtis Avenue intersection beginning Thursday, July 30 at 10:00 pm and continuing into the morning of Friday, July 31.

The work includes installing a new water valve at Curtis Ave N and completing watermain work at Curtis Ave S as part of the ongoing road reconstruction project.

What to expect:

Traffic

  • Curtis Ave S will be reduced to one lane. The intersection will remain open.

Water service interruptions

To safely complete the work, temporary water service interruptions will be required:

  • Curtis Ave N: Water service will be shut off from 10:00 pm to 5:00 am.
  • Curtis Ave S: Water service will be shut off from 10:00 pm to 8:00 am.

Properties affected by the water shutdown will receive separate notification with specific details.

Other impacts

  • Heavy equipment and dump trucks will be operating overnight and into the early morning.
  • Temporary lighting will be used to ensure worker safety.
  • There are no anticipated impacts to:
    • Parking
    • Driveway or property access
    • Garbage collection
    • Other utilities
