Dundas St E, Paris Rd and Oak Park Rd Update - July 24, 2026

Dundas St E, Paris Rd and Oak Park Rd is on schedule!

This multi year infrastructure project is replacing aging underground services and will improve how the road functions for drivers, pedestrians, businesses, and future employment growth in the area.

What stage?

• Stage 2 began March 30, 2026 and is expected to be completed in summer 2026
• Stage 3 is expected to start in August 2026 and continue to late fall 2026
• Stage 4 is expected to start in spring 2027 to complete surface asphalt and other minor surface works

Paris Rd Re-Opening:

• Two-way traffic is planned to return by mid-August

Project update:

Paris Road

• Done: New underground sewers, watermain and storm sewers, south-side road work, and old surface removals on the north side
• Doing now: Building south-side sidewalks, prepping driveways for paving, and moving hydro lines. Preparing the north lane base and setting up curbs
• Coming next: New force-main sewer, final asphalt, topsoil, and sod

Governors Rd E

• Done: Old surface removal on the eastbound lane and new water/sewer hookups
• Doing now: Road digging, adding new stone base layers and setting up curbs
• Coming next: Westbound surface removal, center concrete removal, paving, topsoil, and sod

Dundas St E (Governors Rd E to CN Bridge)

• Done: Deep sewer and stormwater pipe work from 2025, plus removal of asphalt and concrete on the eastbound lane. Watermain is complete.
• Doing now: Moving hydro lines, prepping the road base, and starting curb prep. Stormwater work at the Consolidated Dr. and Green Ln. intersections remain.
• Coming next: Tearing up the westbound lane and center concrete base, then adding new curbs, sidewalks, asphalt, and grass

CN Bridge Work

• South Side Done: Watermain bypass, boulder removal, and new pipe casing installed (waiting on final testing and hookups)
• South Side Doing now: Filling back in the open trench
• North Side: Scheduled to start in September for sewer and stormwater installations and box culvert repairs.

Dundas St E (CN Bridge to Curtis Ave)

• Doing now: Tearing up old asphalt and concrete, plus finishing storm sewer hookups around utility lines
• Coming next: Installing brand new underground water and sewer pipes

Traffic Impacts/Detour Routes:

• Detour routes are being monitored. No concerns at this time.
• Pedestrian access and access to businesses will be maintained throughout the project
