St. George Community Car Show Road Closure

The St. George Business Association will host their 5th Annual Community Car show on Sunday, June 28. During this time, Main Street in St. George will be closed. 

Where, When and Impacts? 

Location # 1 - Main Street 

  • Main Street will be closed from Thompson Street to Beverly Street
  • Sunday, June 28, 2026 
  • Road will be closed from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm
  • Event will run from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm 

Impacts: 

  • Full road closure for vehicle display area
  • Access restricted to through traffic
  • Local business and pedestrian access maintained where possible
  • Increased pedestrian traffic expected throughout the downtown core
  • Emergency vehicle access will be maintained at all times

Location #2 - High Street

  • High Street will be closed from West Street to Lorimar Street
  • Sunday, June 28, 2026 
  • Road will be closed from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm
  • Event will run from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm 

Impacts:  

  • Road closed to accommodate event activities and vehicle displays
  • Local traffic detoured around the downtown core
  • Pedestrian access maintained 
  • Emergency access maintained at all times

Location # 3 - Various parking lots 

  • Parking Lot at Main Street and Beverly Street  
  • Parking Lot at Main Street and High Street  
  • Sunday, June 28, 2026
  • Parking Lots will be closed from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm 

Impacts:  

  • Parking lots reserved for event operations and participant vehicles.  
  • Public parking availability in the downtown area will be reduced.  
  • Visitors are encouraged to use alternative parking locations surrounding the event 

Vehicle Detour Route: 
Traffic will be redirected via Beverly Street, Thompson Street, West Street, Lorimar Street and surrounding local road network. Detour signage will be posted at closure points. 

Pedestrian Access: 
Pedestrian access to businesses and properties within the closure area will remain available where safe to do so.
