About the Property Standards Committee
On February 10, 2026, the County of Brant passed By-law No. 17-26, establishing an Alternative Measures Framework for certain Planning Act applications. The County also also repealed By-law No. 16-99, which established a Committee of Adjustment.
As of August 22, 2026, the County of Brant no longer has a Committee of Adjustment. Planning decisions that were previously made by the Committee are now handled by County Council or County staff, depending on the type of application.
