Dundas Street East and Paris Road are showing major progress!

Paris Road is now open with two-way traffic!

Project update:

Paris Rd

  • Completed: Gravity sanitary sewer, storm sewer, road works, watermain, base asphalt, and line painting
  • Working on: Prepping entrances for paving, hydro relocation, remaining curbs and sidewalks, and forcemain sanitary sewer (mainline expected to be completed in 2 weeks, services to follow)
  • To be completed: Surface asphalt lift, topsoil, and sod.

Governors Rd E

  • Completed: Eastbound lane asphalt and concrete removals, sanitary services, watermain, base asphalt, and temporary line painting
  • Working on: Remaining curb and sidewalk
  • To be completed: Westbound lane asphalt removals, center concrete base removals, and surface works (asphalt, westbound curbs and sidewalks, topsoil, sod)

Dundas St E (Governors Rd E to CN Bridge)

  • Completed: Gravity sanitary sewer and storm sewer (from 2025), eastbound lane asphalt and concrete removals, watermain, base asphalt, and temporary line painting
  • Working on: Storm work at intersections (Consolidated Drive and Green Lane), hydro relocation, and remaining lane curbs and sidewalks
  • To be completed: Westbound lane asphalt removals, center concrete base removals, and surface works (asphalt, topsoil, sod)

Dundas St E (CN Bridge to Curtis Ave)

  • Completed: Storm sewer, asphalt and concrete removals, and watermain installation (final connection to occur in September)
  • Working on: Watermain services and testing
  • To be completed: Sanitary sewer installation

CN Bridge Works

  • South Side: Watermain bypass, boulder removal, casing installed, and watermain installed (waiting on disinfection and final connections)
  • North Side: Tentatively scheduled for mid-September. Remaining work includes sanitary and storm installations and rehabilitation on existing concrete box culvert

What’s next?

By the end of 2026, the ongoing infrastructure project on Dundas St E, Paris Rd, and Oak Park Rd in Paris is scheduled to wrap up the majority of major underground services and foundational work. Spring 2027 is slated to finish surface treatments (and any remaining work not completed in 2026). We will keep you informed!
