There are many resources in the County of Brant to provide support in Children Learning and Education Services.

Childcare Financial Assistance

Families are eligible for childcare subsidy when criteria is met and financial need is identified for both After School Programs and any day camps.


Child Care and Early Learning

The Children's Services and Early Years Department provides support to families in the City of Brantford and the County of Brant by offering a series of services including help finding quality child care, applying for child care subsidy to reduce costs, connecting families to free, quality drop-in programs and supporting children with special needs in licensed child care.

As the service system manager, the City of Brantford also supports individuals who operate Child Care Centres and Licensed Home Child Care providers, and EarlyON providers.


Education Resources

Brant Skills Centre

Provides free literacy and essential skills upgrading for adults and older youth via phone, email, and online learning opportunities.

Bridges to Success - Get SET (Skills, Education and Training) Program

This is a free program to help adults develop and apply communication, numeracy, interpersonal and digital skills to achieve their goals.

Kids Can Fly

Kids Can Fly promotes early childhood development in Brantford/Brant

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library can help support children’s early literacy and language development by providing a FREE book every month for children from birth to age 5.
