- Second Sunday of August
Cemetery Decoration Days
Cemetery Decoration Days are a meaningful time for families and communities to come together in remembrance, reflection, and respect. These special days offer an opportunity to visit the final resting places of loved ones, beautify gravesites with flowers and mementos, and celebrate the lives and legacies of those who have passed.
- Family and friends are encouraged to decorate with flowers (real or artificial) at the graveside
- Glass containers, pottery or wires are not allowed, as they are a hazard to staff and the public
- In order to keep the cemeteries clean and neat in appearance, staff will dispose of withered flowers the following week, and artificial flowers when in poor condition
