Project Safe Trade Parking Spaces

Project Safe Trade Parking Spaces are now available in the County of Brant to provide a public, more visible area for online marketplace transactions away from private residences or secluded parking lots. To increase personal safety and reduce the likelihood of property crime offences during in-person buy-and-sell exchanges, there are now designated spots located in the front of the County of Brant OPP detachment at 67 Bethel Road, Paris just south of Highway 403 at Rest Acres Road.

 

County of Brant O.P.P. Detachment Board

The County of Brant detachment is overseen by the County of Brant O.P.P. Detachment Board, a civilian team that meets regularly and is responsible for strategic planning. The County of Brant O.P.P. Detachment Board gets its authority through the Community Safety and Policing Act, The County of Brant O.P.P. Detachment Board meets the fourth Tuesday of the month.

The Chair of the Police Services Board is Jennifer Haley.

Office of the Independent Police Review Director

The Office of the Independent Police Review Director (OIPRD) is responsible for receiving, managing and overseeing all public complaints about municipal, regional and provincial police in Ontario. As an independent civilian oversight agency, we make sure that public complaints about police are dealt with in a manner that is transparent, effective and fair to both the public and the police.
