The County of Brant will be conducting routine inspection and maintenance work on the Storm Sewer System in the following areas of Paris:
With the start of the new school year just around the corner, the County of Brant is enhancing parking enforcement in school zones to help keep students, families, teachers and crossing guards safe.
The County of Brant continues to respond to the impacts of yesterday’s severe thunderstorms.
Significant damage, including downed trees and power lines, is concentrated in the northern half of the County. County crews are patrolling roads and clearing storm debris from roadways and shoulders. Cleanup efforts are expected to continue well into next week.

County of Brant Emergency Services and Roads crews are responding to numerous downed trees following this afternoon’s severe thunderstorms.

Environment Canada has issued an Orange Level Severe Thunderstorm Watch for our area, with severe thunderstorms possible this afternoon into the evening.
Please be advised that the following Soccer Fields have been closed from Wednesday, September 2 until Tuesday, September 8, 2026, due to wet field conditions:
Along the frontage of 15 Hutchings Road between Rest Acres Road and Markel Drive, construction involves the connection of storm, sanitary, and water, as well as the construction of a new driveway. Access will be completely closed between the designated times. However, a detour route has been provided via Powerline Road, Pottruff Road and Markel Drive.
Update - Hatchley Road has reopened to traffic
