Due to the current Air Quality Alert, all open air burning (this includes recreational, non-recreational residential/agricultural etc.) is prohibited. This remains in effect until the alert has been lifted.
Please note that Shaver Street in Cainsville, between Ewart Avenue and Prince Charles Road, is currently closed to allow emergency vehicles access to a structure fire.
Church Bridge rehabilitation will begin on Wednesday, July 15. The bridge is located on Maple Avenue North between Highway 2 and Second Concession Road. During this time, Maple Ave North will be closed between Highway 2 and Second Concession Road. Bridge work will include excavation, patch and waterproofing of the bridge deck as well as new guide rail and roadway drainage improvements.
Please note that some areas scheduled for garbage and recycling pickup today, July 9, 2026, will not be completed by 5:00 pm. Our collection crews are working diligently and hope to finish by this evening.
Filming will take place on Glen Morris Road East and Branchton Road in Glen Morris with preparation starting today, Thursday, July 9. During this time, there will be road closures and intermittent traffic control.
Zumba at the Downtown Paris Promenade is cancelled this evening, July 8, due to heat. We apologize for any inconvenience and hope to see you next week!
We are excited to share that repairs to the Paris Splash Pad are complete and it is now open to the public.
Park Avenue at King Street in Burford will be closed on Monday, July 13 from approximately 8:00 am to 1:00 pm for the installation of the Veteran’s Crosswalk. This crosswalk supports the 100th anniversary of the Royal Canadian Legion.
Rehabilitation on the Scott Culvert located on Burtch road, will begin on Thursday, July 16. The work will include concrete repairs, guide rail replacement and road reconstruction over the culvert.
