The St. George Sanitary Trunk Sewer reconstruction project is being officially postponed until early spring 2027 due to time and weather constraints of the 2026 construction season.
Great news for commuters! The Ministry of Transportation is making excellent progress on the Rest Acres Road and Highway 403 roundabout project!
The County of Brant will be installing street lighting along Powerline Road near Mile Hill Road, Brewis Street, Hitchman Street and Whiting Drive in Paris. The 17 LED Streetlights will improve roadway and pathway lighting, safety and visibility.
The County of Brant is planning infrastructure improvements along Broadway Street West and West River Street in Paris.
Where is line marking happening:
Municipal Parking Lots in the downtown core. The County will retrace yellow centre lines and arrows on the downtown municipal parking lots.
Brant, we are entering the final stages of the Downtown Dig (Grand River St N phase) with completion expected in October 2026!
Along the frontage of 15 Hutchings Road between Rest Acres Road and Markel Drive, construction involves the connection of storm, sanitary, and water, as well as the construction of a new driveway. Access will be completely closed between the designated times. However, a detour route has been provided via Powerline Road, Pottruff Road and Markel Drive.
Update - Hatchley Road has reopened to traffic
Project Update:
The end date for this project has been extended to Friday, September 25, 2026.
Rehabilitation on the Scott Culvert located on Burtch road, will begin on Thursday, July 16. The work will include concrete repairs, guide rail replacement and road reconstruction over the culvert.
