Church Bridge rehabilitation will begin on Wednesday, July 15. The bridge is located on Maple Avenue North between Highway 2 and Second Concession Road. During this time, Maple Ave North will be closed between Highway 2 and Second Concession Road. Bridge work will include excavation, patch and waterproofing of the bridge deck as well as new guide rail and roadway drainage improvements.
Park Avenue at King Street in Burford will be closed on Monday, July 13 from approximately 8:00 am to 1:00 pm for the installation of the Veteran’s Crosswalk. This crosswalk supports the 100th anniversary of the Royal Canadian Legion.
Please be advised that watermain construction will take place on Grand River Street North, north of William Street, beginning Monday, July 6 and continuing until approximately Thursday, July 9.
Please note that Princess Street between East River Road and East River Road has now reopened to traffic. Thank you to everyone for your patience and understanding while this road was closed.
The Thomson Bridge on Brant School Road will be closed for maintenance starting on Monday, July 6 to approximately Friday, July 24, 2026.
The following roads have reopened to traffic:
Ninth Concession Road between Kloepfer Road and Muir Road South is currently closed due to downed hydro wires.
Cockshutt Road between Burtch Road and Sour Springs Road is currently closed due to downed hydro lines.
Please note the following roads are currently closed due to downed power lines:
The traffic light installation on Colborne Street West at Pleasant Ridge Road and Forced Road will be completed and the lights will be in use on Thursday, July 2, 2026.
