Volunteers

Volunteers are the heart of our community, dedicating their time, energy, and passion to making a difference. They are the driving force behind countless initiatives that enrich our lives, from organizing events to supporting local services. Their selfless contributions bring people together, foster a sense of belonging, and create lasting positive change. We cherish our volunteers because they embody the spirit of community, showing that together, we can build a better, brighter future for everyone.

Volunteer Recognition Awards

The County of Brant is hosting our second annual Volunteer Recognition Ceremony to celebrate the contributions of volunteers and their dedication to creating communities that thrive. Last years awards focused on celebrating the long-standing Community Groups/Service Clubs and individual volunteers.

This year we are requesting the assistance of residents of the County to nominate an individual, group, committee or club that is making a difference in our communities. Help us recognize those who are working to create vibrant, welcoming spaces where people love to live, work, and play in the County of Brant!

Please note, nominations are open to County of Brant residents only.

This year, there are three nomination categories:

  • Emerging Leader (Individual, 10 - 24 years of age) - A young individual in our community who shows leadership through their volunteering. They help to strengthen our community through their volunteering efforts.
  • Community Leader (Individual) - An individual who has been an inspiring leader, influential mentor and has made a positive impact through their volunteer efforts.
  • Community Impact (Group) - A non-for profit group that has positively impacted our community through their innovation and collaboration.
